5 Days in Bermuda Itinerary

July 14, 2017 by Amy Johns in Caribbean, Guide, Travel, Itinerary, Most Popular

For our first major trip back in the traveling saddle after baby, we wanted to stick with a relatively short flight and, again, stay zika-free. We settled on Bermuda, a quick and easy two hour direct flight from Atlanta, mainly because we could pay for our flights with miles. All that said, we had an incredible time (without completely breaking the bank) with some of our very best friends and, Elizabeth's first international trip was a major success!

1. Garden Lights, Holiday Nights at Atlanta Botanical Garden

This holiday light show at Atlanta Botanical Garden is a must see! Grab dinner at one of midtown's bajillion restaurants and head over to the gardens. Enjoy some hot chocolate or an adult beverage and wander through the maze of lights! It gets bigger and better every year!

5 Things to Do in Atlanta in the Fall

October 21, 2015 by Amy Johns in Travel, USA, The South, Georgia, Atlanta

Fall is my absolute favorite time of year and, in my opinion, when Atlanta is the most enjoyable. The heat and humidity has finally broken and we can all get outside for a little fresh air without dissolving into a puddle. Highlands, NC

September 15, 2015 by Amy Johns in Travel, USA, The South, North Carolina

A little over two hours outside of Atlanta, in the Appalachian mountains, lies the town of Highlands, North Carolina. With a permanent population of less than 1,000 (it can swell to upwards of 20,000 when you throw in a few tourists) this tiny town is huge on mountain charm.
